Owned
& Managed by the Martin family since April 2001
Brian,
Neil and Jane have many years of experience in the equestrian
field, Brian has been involved with horses for most of his life,
Neil competes at international level on many occasions and Jane
also competes on the national circuit, so together they have
a vast amount of knowledge to offer.
Over
the last two years the family have endeavored to greatly improve
the facilities at Barton, which are still on-going. The centre
has two large and three smaller outdoor arenas, all post and
rail fenced and very near to the horse box park. One of the
larger arenas has a Derby Bank and Dyke, in fact very successful
Derby Shows have been enjoyed by many of the riders who had
never been around such a course before.
Indoors
the Centre provides two arenas, the larger one is overlooked
by a cafeteria and eating area, a fully stocked bar and seating
gallery, enabling visitors to relax and enjoy the events taking
place in the arena. There are also plenty of parking facilities,
together with another 20 acres of land.
The
centre hosts Unafiliated Showjumping (Every Wed Night), BSPS
and Ponies UK Shows,
BSJA Shows, Riding
Club and Dressage
Competitions and has provided the location for the Elite Show,
British Show Hack & Cob Shows, Robert Oliver Clinics, Jenny
Lorriston-Clarke Clinics plus Pony Club, Riding Club events
and Dog Shows.
Many
of the visitors to Barton remark on the warm and friendly atmosphere,
even in the middle of winter!
The
Martin family aims to provide events for all walks of the Equestrian
field. |
